BettorMind AI is a sports analytics tool. The picks, models, and insights we provide are not guaranteed outcomes — they are probabilistic estimates that will be wrong some of the time. A losing wager forfeits 100% of the stake. If you choose to place real-money bets based on Service content, you accept full responsibility for your decisions and any losses.

Our position
Sports betting can be entertainment for many people and a serious problem for some. We built BettorMind because we believe quantitative analysis gives bettors a fairer footing against the books — but no model can guarantee profits, and no analytical edge can overcome a wagering habit that's gotten out of control. If you're using BettorMind to dig deeper after losing money rather than to spend an enjoyable hour analyzing tonight's slate, please reach out to one of the resources on this page.
Know the warning signs
Problem gambling can develop gradually. Signs to watch for in yourself or others:
- Wagering more money than you intended to, or chasing losses
- Hiding the amount of time or money spent on wagering from people close to you
- Borrowing money — from friends, family, credit cards, payday lenders — to wager or to cover wagering losses
- Skipping work, school, or family obligations to follow games or place wagers
- Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when you try to cut back
- Lying about wins, losses, or how often you're wagering
- Wagering despite serious financial consequences (missed rent, unpaid bills, drained savings)
- Repeatedly trying to stop and being unable to
If any of these resonate, please call 1-800-GAMBLER. The call is free, confidential, and the people on the other end are trained to help — no judgment, no commitment.
Practical limits to set for yourself
Even if you're not at risk for problem gambling, healthy bettors keep guardrails in place:
- Set a bankroll — a fixed dollar amount you can comfortably lose without affecting bills, savings, or relationships. Treat it as entertainment spending, not investment capital.
- Cap your stake per wager — never wager more than 1–3% of your bankroll on any single play, no matter how confident you (or any model) feel.
- Never chase losses — wagering bigger to "win back" what you lost is the single most common path into trouble. If you lose your daily/weekly budget, stop.
- Set time limits — wagering should be a fraction of your free time, not the center of it.
- Don't wager while impaired — alcohol and intoxicating substances impair judgment in exactly the ways that wreck a betting bankroll.
- Take regular breaks — at least one full day per week without checking lines, scores, or wagers.
- Wagering is not a job — even profitable bettors lose months. Income volatility is part of the deal; never wager money you cannot truly afford to lose.
About our ½-Kelly stake suggestions. BettorMind may surface a half-Kelly stake suggestion as a math reference, but the wager amount is always your choice — we never auto-fill a stake. Half-Kelly is a model-derived figure based on a bankroll size you assume; it is not financial advice and it does not guarantee profit. The right stake for you may be smaller than any number the math suggests.
Self-exclusion
If you need to step away from sports wagering, most U.S. states with legal sportsbooks offer voluntary self-exclusion programs that prevent you from opening accounts or placing wagers for a fixed period (typically 1 year, 5 years, or lifetime). Apply through your state gaming commission — links to a few:
- Indiana Voluntary Exclusion Program
- Michigan Disassociated Persons List
- New Jersey Self-Exclusion Program
- Pennsylvania Self-Exclusion Program
- Other states: search "[your state] self-exclusion sports betting"
If you are on a self-exclusion list, you should not use BettorMind to research wagers you cannot legally place. Email support@bettormind.ai to deactivate your account.

Our commitment to you
BettorMind never:
- Auto-fills a stake or pushes you to wager a specific amount
- Sends push notifications urging you to "lock in" a pick before lines close
- Uses urgency timers, countdown clocks, or "limited-time edge" labels to manufacture pressure
- Implements infinite scroll, auto-playing media, or other engagement loops designed to extend session length
- Promotes specific sportsbooks for affiliate revenue without disclosure
- Markets to anyone we have reason to believe is under 21 or self-excluded
Note on visual design: BettorMind uses a dark color theme because it is easier on the eyes during evening game windows and matches the editorial aesthetic we believe is appropriate for serious sports analytics. The dark theme is a visual choice — it is not a "dark pattern" in the manipulative-UX sense, and it is not engineered to alter your engagement or wagering behavior.
If you ever feel pressured by anything inside BettorMind, please email support@bettormind.ai and tell us — we'll fix it.
